Your TikTok engagement rate

Add views, followers or both. By views, about 3–9% is common on TikTok. By followers it varies far more, since a video can travel well past your following.

Two ways to measure on TikTok

By views: interactions ÷ views × 100. This is the fairer measure on TikTok, because videos reach far beyond followers. A video with 4,200 views, 260 likes, 11 comments, 6 shares and 18 saves scores 295 ÷ 4,200 × 100 = 7.02%.

By followers: interactions ÷ followers × 100. Useful for comparing accounts, but it swings wildly, since one video can reach ten times your following and the next one a tenth of it.

What’s a normal TikTok rate?

By views, roughly 3% to 9% is a common range. Under 3% suggests people are scrolling past; over 9% means a video is landing well. Short, rewatchable videos tend to sit higher.

Likes packages and the maths

A likes package raises the likes on one video without adding views, comments or shares, so it inflates the by-views figure for that video. If the likes end up far above a few per cent of views, the video looks odd. Size any likes package against the views the video already has. We don’t sell views; here’s why.

FAQ

About this tool

Which number should I report to brands?
Engagement by views per video, averaged over recent videos, is what most brands ask for on TikTok. Be ready to show your analytics.
Why is my by-followers rate over 100%?
Because a video reached far more people than follow you. That’s normal on TikTok.
Does the fill option get views?
No. TikTok’s public profile data gives followers and total likes, so the tool estimates likes per video and leaves views for you to enter.
